story of detroit ---> gottagofaraway

Please be aware of the aforementioned change. I'm returning to a previous live journal. I would have gone to ryanvstheworld but live journal wants me to pay $15 for it. Bah!

Hope drives us to what must begin.

Failing Science Jan. 30th, 2006 @ 09:30 pm
Compelling as a falling Icarus
Dives beneath a field of roses
Waxed rain crashes from an open sky.

Angels have not the strength
to hold me high. Wings flush
with movement with no distance gained.

Floral scents and petals dance
in the colliding air. Thorns are
to cast those near flowers from beauty.

Storm clouds wait to strike the
open Heavens. Sunlight breaches
thin rived clouds to keep me warm.

At least for now.

You scored as Neo, the "One". Neo is the computer hacker-turned-Messiah of the Matrix. He leads a small group of human rebels against the technology that controls them. Neo doubts his ability to lead but doesn't want to disappoint his friends. His goal is for a world where all men know the Truth and are free from the bonds of the Matrix.

Eras Always End Jan. 14th, 2006 @ 12:00 am
Eras Always End and Loose Threads Need No Undoing.
The time is spent and all allotted--with no more
change for the meter. Crafty hands and high hopes
wringing sweat from a battered skin-tight sweater.

Loose threads need no undoing--do not pull the
string. Time tumbles down when hours begins to fray.
No mountains or iron buildings and hold back clocks.
There will be no arms spinning with no way to know
noon from midnight. What begins must always start anew.

Chimes ring silent and only the deaf hear. Noise
comes crashing like the sky unwinding, some
brilliant orange and wisps of grey fill voids between
us and stars. All the motion of a loom comes-halt.

Strings on a sweater should always be cut or burned away.
all matches and scissors take away and replace.
No unraveling and the ends, no clocks with arms to stop,
no mountains needed to hold back time.

Loose Threads Need No Undoing.

You Passed the US Citizenship Test

Congratulations - you got 10 out of 10 correct!

» The Craft of Surviving August.
I finally feel in the swing of things at work, and by that I mean meetings include me telling other people what needs to be accomplished rather than the other way around.

I have two new people at work. I sit in the center as I'm the "co-ordinator" on the team. Its fine though. I liked having a giant-U to myself. I don't mind working with other people. Kelly is really funny, and Brad can't stop talking about his past job training dogs for the blind. I offered Casey to him, haha. No takes.

The sausage-of-a-dog belongs to me still and forever.

Scott is at BAND CAMP all week, so the house is dull and boring. I wish he was back.
» The Horror! The Unthinkable!
The foul things that are done by foul things . . . I guess I'll need to go to the laundry tonight.
» And I Ate My Cake Too
So, the staff at Mongolian BBQ bought me a cake to say goodbye. Although it was really good and the thought was nice, I think they really just wanted to have cake. I know I did.
» Launch Comencing!
Time to get the hell away from Mongolian BBQ!

Scott and I went to a martini bar along with Joe and Christine. It was a good time, and there was a lot of broken glassware.
Not my fault.
» All Things Come To An End
Good Bye Mongo!

My two weeks have started, and if you piss me off, they can become a few hours.
» Positive Net Yield
My resume paid off. I have a second interview with the owner of the company, Rick Ruby. (Please Note: Rick Ruby is a different person than Jack Ruby--the man who killed Lee Harvey Oswald.)

It is for the official sounding position of LP1 Client Coordinator.

I was just sent a crunch list of crap that would have to be done on a daily basis. Interesting.

I think this all can be done.
» Argh! Mangled Keyboard Hands
I hate doing this GD! resume crap. Damn you Mongo and all your hateful spite!
» I Can See For The First Time Again
Scott and I got contacts yesterday at SEE. I'm fairly excited about this . . . uhh . . . new and ambitious endevour . . . I think. No, really, I am. We did however have the most expensive lunch (for what we got) ever. COSI, come-on-now--no need for such prices. It really isn't necessary! Damnit. But I can see!
» Hand Crafted
The planter box Scott and I made officially looks damn good. It has for a while, but I wanted you all to know.
» Staples of My Diet
Honey Bunches of Oats!
» A Resume To End All Resumes
This is officially the countdown of when I will no longer work at BD's Mongolian BBQ. Its days are numbered. But as of today--I work near the 12 hour mark. Hah, love it. I am going to take the Civil Service Exam, and try and get a job at the Ambassador Bridge with one of Scott's buddies. Or, a mortgage job . . .

» Enjoying the Weather
I wanted to build a Sandcastle Metropark Beach today but I didn't. however I did have a nostalgic time with Dave LaRue and San Nguyen--the old roommates. I had left a box of books, Scott's and my luggage, and an assortment of random photographs. I love nostalgia. But even as it was the last day for Wordsworth Estate, I am incredibly happy that I'm with Scott. moving in with him was the most intelligent and loving decision I have ever made. I love him dearly.
» Time To Open The Flood Gates
I have to work the morning shift today. Bah.
